Sweepstakes Rules:

To participate, entrants must be over the age of 18, and be a resident of the State of California and provide a valid California driver’s license. Only one entry per person and only for new or returning clients that retain the legal services of Second Chances Law Group, A Professional Corporation (“Second Chances Law Group”) on a new matter. To be eligible for an entry, Second Chances Law Group must be retained in writing before the close of the scheduled appointment for legal services and before the scheduled date of the Sweepstakes drawing. Entry is personal to the entrant and may not be sold or transferred, and does not have any monetary value. Entry is not a guarantee of legal services by Second Chances Law Group.

Sweepstakes valid only through Second Chances Law Group in California. To be valid, an entry must be submitted at the offices of Second Chances Law Group and the entry is contingent upon the participant’s prompt arrival at scheduled appointment for legal services.

A random drawing will take place on September 30, 2016, in order to select the winner of the drawing. The winner will be notified within two business days to the telephone, voicemail, or email provided to Second Chances Law Group. Prize winner will be given two weeks from the date of the drawing to pick up the prize at Second Chances Law Group. In the event prize winner is unreachable for any reason, the prize will be held at Second Chances Law Group, A Professional Corporation for two weeks following the drawing. If prize winner does not pick up prize within two weeks from day of the drawing, winner forfeits any and all rights to the prize, and, at the sole discretion of Second Chances Law Group, the prize is subject to be submitted as a prize for a subsequent Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes ends as of the stated deadline to pick up the prize, or as otherwise stated in the Rules even if these Rules are actively available on Second Chances Law Group website, or the internet.

Odds of winning are contingent upon the number of valid entries submitted.

By entering this Sweepstakes and/or accepting any prize entrant may win, entrant agrees to release Second Chances Law Group from any and all liability arising out of the Sweepstakes.

Entrant agrees neither Second Chances Law Group, nor any of its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives (individually and collectively, “Releasees”) are responsible for: Entries from persons residing, or physically located, outside California, or, the area where Second Chances Law Group provides legal services; Entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, forged, fraudulent, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, irregular in any way, late, lost, misrouted, multiple, not delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized, unintelligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, internet service provider, or other connections; telephone or internet availability or accessibility; miscommunications; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions; undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering; insufficient space in entrant’s email account or voicemail account to receive email or voicemails; or other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, human, mechanical, printing, or technical errors or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Releasees.

All taxes (including, without limitation, U.S. federal, provincial, state and local taxes and, as applicable on or connected with any prize, and the reporting consequences thereof, and any other expenses not specifically included in the prize description are the sole and exclusive responsibility of a winner.

By entering this Sweepstakes and/or accepting any prize entrant may win, entrant agrees, represents and warrants that: [a] entrant has all rights, permissions and consents necessary to grant the rights to Second Chances Law Group as expressed herein; [b] entrant will abide by and be bound by the Rules, Second Chances Law Group’s decisions, and any applicable terms of use; [c] the entry becomes solely the property of Second Chances Law Group and will not be acknowledged or returned; [d] entrant releases, indemnifies and holds harmless the Releasees from any and all liability for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including without limitation, death and bodily injury, resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize; participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity; [e] by accepting any prize, entrant accepts the inherent risks relating to use of the prize, such risk may include personal injury and/or death, entrant acknowledges that entrant’s participation in the Prize event is voluntary, and acknowledges that there are natural factors and occurrences which may impact or affect the safety of the prize and of electronic devices and assumes the risk of such factors and occurrences and agrees that the Releasees shall not be in any way responsible for any resulting injury and/or death; [f] the Prize is awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), and the Releasees do not make any representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, relating to the Sweepstakes or any prize; [g] entrant understands and acknowledges that Second Chances Law Group is not responsible for any internet, telephone, or other subscriptions to be used in connection with any electronic device provided as a prize and entrant is solely responsible for all fees incurred through entrant’s phone service for voicemails associated with participation in this Sweepstakes; [h] in the event Acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or, war, national emergency, accident, fire, acts of terrorism or other matters beyond Second Chances Law Group’s reasonable control, prevent or impair the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes, so that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, Second Chances Law Group has the right, in its sole discretion, to modify the Rules or to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes; and in such event, to select winner by such method as Second Chances Law Group in its sole discretion shall consider equitable; [i] the Releasees are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Sweepstakes, including but not limited to: errors in the advertising, Rules and selection of the Winners and distribution of the Prizes; [j] Second Chances Law Group has the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it suspects to be doing any of the following: (i) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; (ii) violating the Rules and/or general rules or guidelines of any Sweepstakes property or service; (iii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner towards any other person; or (iv) for any other good cause as determined solely by Second Chances Law Group; [j] since any attempt by any individual to undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes is a violation of these Rules as well as criminal and civil laws, and should Second Chances Law Group believe or become aware that such an attempt has been, is being, or will be made, it has the right to seek remedies and damages from any responsible individuals to the fullest extent permitted by law, including without limitation prosecution; [k] all disputes, claims and causes of action at law or in equity (individually, “Claim”) arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes, the meaning or interpretation of the Rules or any Prize awarded shall be resolved by applying the laws of California, without regard to conflict of laws provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in the state or federal courts within Los Angeles County, California; [l] all Claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; [m] all Claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event include attorneys’ and legal fees, and under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses and waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased; and [n] Second Chances Law Group has the right to modify Prize award procedures at its sole discretion.
